WSSCC has around 4,000 individual members in over 150 countries around the world!

WSSCC was founded following a UN mandate in 1990 to continue the work of the International Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation Decade. From its inception WSSCC has been a membership organization.

 Through membership WSSCC aims to

  • Mobilize people with the collective ambition of ensuring access to sanitation, water supply, and hygiene for all
  • Inform, engage and enable people to better carry out their WASH work, particularly through networking and knowledge sharing
  • Ensure that the focus of WSSCC's work is connected to local communities and local issues
