Assistant to the Executive Director & Human Resources Administrator - Jo Powles-Brown
Jo Powles-Brown is British with a varied secretarial and administrative background in London with diverse organisations including Marsh, Matthew hall, Habitat, a medical association, a travel agent, a school and an NGO where she has held such posts as Personal Assistant to the Sales & Marketing Directors, the Finance Directors, the Executive Directors and the Chairman.
As Business and Marketing Director, Administrative Director and Resort Director in France she was responsible for the day to running of a small business, a professional association and a ski resort programme. In her spare time, prior to leaving London, she managed the renovation of her London property and pursued studies in personal development and trained as a coach.
Jo arrived in Geneva in early 1997 and is married with three children. Since coming to the Geneva area she has managed the renovation of a farmhouse and property rental and renovation in London, trained as a Sophrologist, been a committee member and membership secretary of a few parent-child organisations; managed the set up and administration of a small family run high-tech start up. She worked at the Global Fund as an Assistant in 2006 and in February 2007 joined the WSSCC as the personal assistant to the Executive Director, Jon Lane. She is is also responsible for human resources administration at WSSCC and for researching grant management programmes.
