Steering Committee

The Steering Committee decides the policies and strategies of the Collaborative Council, manages the governance process and is accountable for its work. The current committee was elected in September 2004 through an online general election among the Collaborative Council's members. Representing the interests of the Collaborative Council's stakeholders, the Steering Committee has permanent seats for four categories:

1. Regional Representatives;
2. Partner Agencies;
3. Host Agency and
4. Permanent Invitees.
5. The Collaborative Council's Director is an ex-officio member of the Steering Committee and its Secretary.

The WSSCC is holding a By-election in order to fill two vacancies on the Steering Committee for the regional seats of Anglophone Africa and Latin America. The deadline for receipt of nominations for Latin America is 7 August 2008. For Anglophone Africa the deadline has expired. Please download the Nomination Form here.
