Thematic Networking
WSSCC aims to facilitate networking and sharing of information and knowledge on a wide array of themes and topics of concern to water supply, sanitation and hygiene professionals. Special emphasis lies on sanitation and hygiene, as well as on a number of cross-cutting 'hot topics'.
This webpage provides entry to a wide number of themes and topics. For each, there is a further webpage providing a short description of the issue and reference to key networks, initiatives and/or focal point organisations. It also lists resources such as publications, case studies and workshop reports, from WSSCC or others.
Building on a long history of thematic networking, WSSCC directly supports a number of thematic working groups, and/or works with specific focal point agencies. Where this is the case, special reference is made on the thematic pages to these working groups or focal points.
However the intention of WSSCC is not to duplicate but rather to support and point towards other interesting work being done in the sector, therefore most of the thematic pages refer to networks, organisations or initiatives recognised by WSSCC for their good work, but not directly supported by the Council.
