Multiple Use Water Services
Multiple Use Water Services (MUS), hosted by WSSCC
The MUS (multiple use water services) group (previously known as the PRODWAT thematic group) was established in 2003 to work for better recognition and the improved delivery of multiple use water services at the household level. It focuses on the way these services may be made to work for poverty reduction, supporting activities like backyard gardening, livestock keeping and micro-enterprises. The group members undertake research, share information and advocate for better support to these activities: where water plays a crucial but neglected role in people's livelihoods. Currently the coordinating partners of the group are the International Water and Sanitation Centre (IRC), the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), PumpAid, the Water Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC), the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), the Natural Resources Institute (NRI), Plan International, Winrock International and Cinara.
