Rural Water Supply

The Rural Water Supply Network (RWSN)
 
The Rural Water Supply Network is a global knowledge initiative that promotes sound practices in rural water supply. Evolving from the Hand Pump Technology Network (HTN), the RWSN uncovers good practices, provides tools and promotes innovation that improves rural water supply policies and approaches, for the benefit of users. The goal of the Rural Water Supply Network is increased access and improved sustainability of rural water supplies in sub-Saharan Africa. In order to reach this goal, the efforts are co-coordinated under four themes, known as flagships. Within each flagship RWSN members are encouraged to actively learn from each other, and form focus groups. Studies are undertaken to improve knowledge and pilot projects are catalysed and documented to enable learning and a basis for changed to policy and practice.

RWSN Newsletters

RWSN membership is open to individuals and organisations that support rural people throughout the world to improve access to their water supplies. RWSN currently has over 2000 members including professionals in numerous Governments, NGOs and the private sector. RWSN members contribute to the network by providing information, time and financial resources. If you wish to join contact RWSN at rwsn@skat.ch.
