National-level Advocacy, Coalition Building and Implementation

The Collaborative Council focuses on regional and national level advocacy and coalition building for increased action, collaboration and political will for WASH issues. 

National activities include:

• Advocacy and awareness raising
• Hygiene and sanitation education
• Policy development
• Monitoring progress
• Applied research and development of improved programmes, practices and approaches

WSSCC will expand national activities to include the implementation of sanitation and hygiene projects in collaboration with longstanding local partners. Experiences from the implementation projects will directly feed into advocacy and policy development activities at both country and global level.
