Between November 2011 and January 2012, members around the world voted in elections for the WSSCC Steering Committee. The elections were held for four global and regional positions altogether. As a result, three new members, as well as an existing member (renewed term) were elected by their peers.
The elected WSSCC Steering Committee members, including their constituencies are:
Open seat: Nomathemba Neseni, Director, Institute of Water and Sanitation Development, Zimbabwe
Open seat: Barry Jackson, Independent Consultant (former head of the WSSCC Global Sanitation Find Programme), South Africa
