The Global Sanitation Fund in Cambodia Signed Seven Sub-Grantees in Round One for successful designed projects to address 1. proven and tested community-led approaches 2.behavior change promotion.
A key priority for women and girls is to have necessary knowledge, facilities, and cultural environment to manage menstruation hygienically and with dignity. To address these issues BRAC-WASH along with financial support from school authorities is constructing separate sanitary latrines for girls with menstrual hygiene facilities in secondary schools.

This menstrual hygiene management study was carried out in Azad Kashmir UC and MC Muzaffarabad. The scope of the study was to learn about the coping mechanism of schools girls during menses.
WSSCC will participate in the Third regional Sanitation and Hygiene Practitioners’ Workshop organized by the Bangladeshi Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC), WaterAid and IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre will take place from 31 January – 2 February 2012 in the Bangladeshi capital of Dhaka.

WSSCC welcomes Mr. Akbar Suvanbekov and Mr. Khin Maung Lwin to the Steering Committee. Following a call for nominations on 16 November 2011 for the WSSCC Steering Committee elections, unopposed nominations were received for two regional Steering Committee seats namely, the Eastern/Central Europe-Western/Central Asia region and the South-Eastern/Eastern Asia region.
WSSCC, as a leading organization in the the Sanitation and Hygiene sector, will participate in the forthcoming United Nations public consultation on the Stigmatization in the realization of the rights to water and sanitation report in February 2012.
