This is a collection of interesting media articles and stories written by members of the South Asian WASH Media network on issues related to Water, Sanitation and Hygiene.

Wells cleaning and disinfection is an innovative approache which was started by IRSP, Pakistan with the financial and technical support of SCD in flood-affected districts Charsadda and Nowshehra, where more than 50% of population were dependant upon  dug wells for drinking water. These wells were severely contaminated and destroyed by the flood waters in July 2010. The initial phase of project enabled 2,200 housholds (26,000 population aprox.) to access clean drinking water via rehabilitation, cleaning and disinfection of wells. 

On the occasion of the 6th World Water Forum, that will take place in Marseille (France) from March 12 to 17, 2012, the International Secretariat for Water launches the 3rd edition of the International Water and Film Events. (IWFE)

The World Walks for Water is a global event from 19-22 March 2011, that aims to raise awareness of the world’s current water and sanitation crisis.

The regional network will act as a platform to share knowledge and experience between journalists, work together at key moments for maximum campaigning impact, amplify the voices of the poor, support national networks and project WASH issues at the regional, continental and international level.
