The Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) has announced a Call For Proposals (CFP) for grant support for work relating to the ‘design and implementation of impact evaluation of sanitation and hygiene programmes’. The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2014.
"Getting to everyone everywhere: new operating principles to tackle an old reality" was the name of a presentation on equity, equality and inclusion in WASH made by Archana Patkar, WSSCC Programme Manager for Networking and Knowledge Management, at the WASH 2014 conference in Brisbane, Australia, in March.
In 2008, 59% of the population in Africa lacked access to improved sanitation facilities.Who are these people and why are they left out, not reached or not served? This synthesis paper, presented at AfricaSan 3, will highlight some of the challenges but also gives examples and a framwork how to reach more inclusive sanitation and hygiene in Africa.
