Beyond the anecdotal, unscientific or hard-to-validate: new grant opportunity from WSSCC on impact evaluation in sanitation

The Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) has announced a Call For Proposals (CFP) for grant support for work relating to the ‘design and implementation of impact evaluation of sanitation and hygiene programmes’.  The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2014.

New UNICEF/WHO report says WASH gains mask growing inequalities

DUBAI, 8 May 2014 (IRIN) - Inequalities in access to clean drinking water and sanitation persist and in some cases are getting worse, although close to two billion people globally have gained access to clean drinking water and sanitation since 1990, according to new data from the World Health Organization and the UN Children’s Fund.

Now also in Nepali: Compendium of Sanitation Systems and Technologies

Clean toilets save lives. But with billions of people lacking access to basic sanitation around the world, which toilet best meets each person's and family's need? Since 2008, one of the most popular guidebooks used to help answer that question has been the Compendium of Sanitation Systems and Technologies. Now, the Guidebook, published by the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (Eawag) and WSSCC, is available in Nepali, complementing the English, French and Spanish versions available.
