About the author

The Colombia WASH coalition comprises various national and international organizations, and is endorsed by the government as part of its commitment to fulfil the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Coordinated by the Cinara Institute, the coalition focuses on rural and marginalized urban communities lacking access to WASH services. The tool to reach these communities is the periodical Aquacol Bulletin – produced by and for community members since 2008. Financially freestanding through advertising, the publication increases knowledge about WASH issues and fosters partnerships within and between communities by sharing local experiences.
