About the author
Lack of cooperation among stakeholders in the WASH sector was the spark that incited the WASH Coalition in Cameroon in 2008. The following year a WASH Coalition comprising national and international partners began promoting WASH for all by encouraging the government to finance and prioritize actions on all levels.
Objectives of the coalition include launching a qualitative survey of the attitudes and practices of the rural population on WASH (and thereby raising awareness); assisting the government to establish a national sanitation plan; and building partnerships at all levels.
