This paper aims to give insights into the issues and lessons learned in Madagascar related to coalitions, with the particular example of the Diorano-WASH coalition. By increasing visibility of the problems of sanitation through the Diorano-WASH campaign, the public awareness and widespread public support that it has achieved reaches beyond what any single member could have achieved alone.
