Summary

In 2009, the Coalition worked to revive and reform the water and sanitation network and membership. It strengthened collaboration with the media to gain recognition that water and sanitation are a basic right in the constitution, to lobby for national and local funds, and to raise public awareness. It engaged with parliamentarians to urge the inclusion of the right to water and sanitation in the constitution. It also celebrated Nepal’s tenth National Sanitation Action Week.
