Summary

Over two years, the Sri Lanka WASH Coalition executed various initiatives to address water and sanitation issues in the country. Among the initiatives included increased awareness of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), development of a coordination committee after the tsunami, and establishment of a resource centre, a development fund, and a water quality surveillance system. The Coalition will continue to work on coverage, coordination and accountability, raising awareness and advocacy, as well as focusing on low-income settlements and marginalized groups and conflict affected areas.
