Summary

Extreme weather changes and water scarcity resulted in the persistence of diarrhoeal diseases combined with lack of sanitation facilities and poor hygienic practices and posed serious challenges on health promotion in Tanzania. In 2009, the Coalition continued to work in collaboration making advocacy plans to influence policy and change hygienic practices. The Coalition helped organize World Toilet Day, District WASH Forums, workshops and disseminated advocacy materials.
