Activities of this year's celebration related to year’s theme "Water for cities: respond the urban challenge" aimed at raising the attention of national and international opinion on the impacts of rapid urban growth on the access to WASH services.

The celebration of World Water Day was a success in the sense that it gathered the different actors of the sector in a national organization Committee and benefited from wide media coverage. On the agenda of the celebration: a concert and a conference debate in addition to the traditional message from the Minister of Energy and Water to the actors and the population.
