The Global Sanitation Fund (GSF) programme in Malawi was launched in December 2010. It served as an impetus to establish a National Sanitation and Hygiene Coordination Unit (NSHCU) as per the government’s National Sanitation Policy. A call for expressions of interest was issued by the EA (Plan International) in March 2011 to disburse and manage the first funding round to sub-grantees.
The flyer gives background information to programme and highlights the outcomes achieved so far. It will be periodically updated.
