The Global Sanitation Fund (GSF) programme in Cambodia continues to move forward steadily as the selection of Sub-Grantees for round one is in progress. The GSF’ Executing Agency Plan International Cambodia called for expression of interest (EOI) in June 2011 to invite potential sub-grantees for hygiene sanitation promotional work to submit their EOI. Then, a number of EOIs have been shortlisted and invited to submit full proposals by 26 August 2011. In the mean time, Plan Cambodia organised a one day workshop on Proposal Writing Information to sub-grantee candidates on 19th August 2011 at Cambodiana Hotel. As a result, twelve senior staff, namely Technical Advisor, Program Support Officer, Executive Directors, Program Managers, Project Manager, Finance Manager, etc. of the six sub-grantees were attended in the workshop. The purpose of the workshop was to provide representatives of the sub-grantees a full clarity on using the proposal template and particularly the extent of details required to complete the respective sections. Moreover, the workshop was very helpful for them to have a chance to discuss about geographic areas.
Questions and clarifications were provided the floor to the participants. Each section was accurately explained by GSF Programme Manager with real examples that linked to the proposal template.
Participants said, "After attending the Proposal Writing Information Workshop, we feel we are better to complete all the sections in the proposal without any more doubt.”
“Good luck in the preparation of their funding proposal,” said Oun Syvibola, GSF Programme Manager.
