Summary

The Horizon Solutions Site is a companion site to  www.wiley.com/go/selendy/water which provides additional resources for the publication “Water and Sanitation Related Diseases and the Environment: Challenges, Interventions, and Preventive Measures,” a Wiley-Blackwell collaboration with Horizon International. Written by experts from the fields of public health, medicine, epidemiology, environmental health, climate change, environmental engineering, and population research, the book examines the interlinkages between water-related diseases, sanitation, and hygiene.

This book presents a comprehensive examination of the conditions responsible for water and sanitation-related diseases, the pathogens and their biology, the morbidity and mortality resulting from lack of safe water and sanitation, the distribution of these diseases, and the conditions that must be met to reduce or eradicate them.

The Horizon Solutions site presents case studies, articles and exhibits in the interrelated areas of health, the environment, population, and poverty alleviation.
