Origins and rationale of network
Streams was established as a network in 2000 and then moved teh Secretariat to the Philippines in 2003.
Objectives
WASH advocacy and capacity building support to the sector via network of independent resource centres, focussing on capacity building, knowledge generation, partnership building

current members are IRC, SKAT, MOLAWEH, Nepal Water for Health (NEWAH), NGO Forum for Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation, Philippine Center for Water and Sanitation (PCWS), CREPA, Mvula Trust, Training and research Network for Development (TREND), Water Information Network South Africa (WIN-SA), Network for Water and Sanitation International (NETWAS), Instituto de Investigacion y Desarollo en Agua Potbale, Saneamiento Basico y Conservaceion del Recurso Hidrico (CINARA), Centro De Formacao Profissional De Aguas E Saneamento (CFPAS), National Community Water and Sanitation Training Institute (NCWSTI).
