Key initiatives/output
Transparency International and WIN jointly produced the Global Corruption Report 2008 (GCR), with a special thematic focus on corruption in the water sector. The GCR 2008 includes practical recommendations for practitioners, international financial institutions and other donor agencies, as well as for civil society on fighting corruption in water sector. WIN Strategy for action 2009-2015 is based on the GCR recommendations. It seeks to promote pro-poor water integrity practice by building coalitions at local, regional and global levels to jointly improve integrity. WIN WORKSHOP SERIES 2007/2008 brought together different stakeholders to map problems, causes and possible solutions. Each regional workshop involved a diverse range of actors from the grassroots, civil society and governmental level. Report available online. Advocacy guide 2009. Preliminary work undertaken on corruption in sanitation. Supported documentary by VOICE (local NGO) on water sector corruption in Mymensingh, Bangladesh (2008)
