A half-day workshop on Urban Sanitation took place on 31 August 2009 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and included the participation of the Ethiopia WASH Movement, which organized the event. The workshop brought together 31 people from key government ministries, donors, NGOs, the private sector and the media. The objectives of the workshop were to open discussion among government and non-government organizations on urban sanitation: its situation, challenges and solutions; and to identify possible intervention for WASH Ethiopia Movement on urban sanitation. According to Michael Negash, National WASH Movement Coordinator, the workshop served to kick off the Movement's focus on urban sanitation for 2009 and 2010. A series of documents and presentations are available. For more information, write to Mr. Negash via email at MichaelN@wateraidet.org.
