WSSCC, IRC and BPD jointly organized a SADC Learning and Sharing Session on Partnerships for Peri-Urban Sanitation on 24-25 November in Maputo, Mozambique.
A half-day workshop on Urban Sanitation took place on 31 August 2009 to explore the challenges of and solutions to urban sanitation, and to identify roles for the WASH Ethiopia Movement.

and preventive health interventions in three primary programmes: hygiene and
environmental sanitation, diseases prevention and control, and family health
services.
Rawalpindi has seen some success in cleaning
its streets through sewers. Neighbouring communities are seeing the
benefits of the sewers and are also seeking them.

A presentation reviewing Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) in Kolkata Metropolis area. With over 9000 slums and a population of 4.1 million, the Kolkata Urban Services for the Poor (KUSP) creates and reviews a pilot project for urban CLTS.
