Mr. Kamal Khatri, a WSSCC member who is Water Services Coordinator, SOPAC Division Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC), Fiji, was elected unopposed to the Small Island Developing States (SIDS) regional seat of the WSSCC Steering Committee. He will take up this position with effect from the March 2013 Steering Committee meeting.
The election for the Global Region seat on the WSSCC Steering Committee is ongoing from 29 January and runs until 17 February. WSSCC members have been invited to vote for one of the three nominees for this seat. They are:
