Water and Sanitation Program (WSP), World Bank, Handwashing with Soap Toolkit

The behavior change module introduces the theory of change and key components of the approach WSP used in the project. This module includes four presentations:

  1. Behavior Change Overview
  2. FOAM Framework (see below)
  3. Enabling Products
  4. Monitoring

The Tools section includes a link to a database of enabling products for handwashing maintained by WSP, and the Country Intervention tab provides links to the country pages which shares documents, videos, and other materials used during implementation.

Many Hands: Harmonising Capacity, Knowledge and Documentation in Sanitation and Hygiene

“This report is important as it highlights the outcomes from a rare meeting that brought together a core group of partners working on capacity, knowledge and documentation in WASH for the purposes of formulating a shared plan of action,” said Carolien Van der Voorden, Senior Programme Officer for Networking and Knowledge Management at WSSCC.

New WSSCC report calls for improved harmonisation and coordination in the WASH sector

The drive for improved coordination between development agencies became a top priority after both the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness of 2005 and the Accra Agenda for Action in 2008 warned that the duplication of efforts by donors placed an unnecessary burden on partner countries and ultimately impinged potential development results.

High Level Meeting - Bridging the gaps: Leaders to map future of investments in water, sanitation and hygiene

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will open the third biennial Sanitation and Water For All (SWA) High-Level Meeting here on Friday, along with World Bank Group President Dr. Jim Yong Kim and SWA Chair John Kufuor, ahead of the 2014 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group.

WSSCC among participants at April 11 Sanitation and Water for All meeting, where ministers and influencers aim to accelerate WASH progress

On April 11, the Sanitation and Water for All (SWA) partnership will hold its High Level Meeting 2014 in Washington, D.C. SWA is a global partnership of over 90 developing country governments, donors, civil society organizations and other development partners working together to catalyse political leadership and action, improve accountability and use scarce resources more effectively. Partners work towards a common vision of universal access to safe water and adequate sanitation.
