On 29 June 2010, the National Campaign of Advocacy and Mobilization for Access to Adequate Sanitation was launched by Burkina Faso’s Head of State. The campaign will combine awareness raising activities, advocacy and the construction of 55,000 latrines each year to improve access to proper sanitation for the population from the present 10% to 54% by 2015.
