WSSCC helped organize the Global Handwashing University, from 12 to 14 July in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting brought together partners of the PPPHWS -- the Public Private Partnership for Handwashing with Soap. It also included representatives from governments and also other sector stakeholders engaged in handwashing.
In Kenya, WSSCC is also supporting the Interagency Coordinating Committee (ICC), which includes the major sector stakeholder in sanitation and hygiene in Kenya. WSSCC and its partners also enaged in stakeholder dialogue during field visits to Kisumu, where very positive changes in reducing cholera and typhoid have been achieved.
