The East Africa practitioners’ workshop on pro-poor urban sanitation and hygiene was held in Rwanda’s capital Kigali from 29-31 March 2011. The event drew participants from the regional countries of Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Burundi, Ethiopia, Southern Sudan, and Mozambique, who discussed enthusiastically about the current challenges, the lessons-learned and how to scale-up the efforts.
The workshop was jointly organised by IRC, WaterAid, WSSCC, UNICEF, GIZ, Netwas, and the Government of Rwanda.
All papers presented during these three days, as well as the workshop summary of recommendations will be uploaded on the website of IRC. Access them here.
