On Friday the 13th of September 2013, participants from different sectors in Central and West Africa came together in Dakar, Senegal for a two-day training on Equity and Inclusion in Sanitation and Hygiene, conducted by the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC). During these two days, participants were able to share experiences from their countries, build capacity on of Equity and Inclusion in WASH particularly on how to use these concepts in practice and to discuss the relevance of various approaches in their country and professional context.
WSSCC Toolkit 101 is designed for professionals working in sanitation and hygiene. It consists of six learning modules and three chapters of reference materials. Each learning module, which includes sanitation marketing has been designed to give the user a thorough insight into key principles of the subject area and takes between 15-20 minutes. Users who complete the learning modules have the option of receiving a completion certificate. The reference materials include all reference documents from the learning modules; all presentations, background reading and video files from the WSSCC Global Forum on Sanitation and Hygiene.
