WSSCC Steering Committee meets new Executive Director

From 1-2 October, WSSCC’s Steering Committee will take place at its Secretariat Headquarters in Geneva. The meeting will be chaired by Anna Tibajuka and WSSCC’s new Executive Director, Chris Williams, will also participate.

Chris Williams, a development practitioner with over twenty-five years of experience in international organizations in Africa, Asia and the Americas and with training in economics and sociology, will formally take up office in October 2012.  Before joining WSSCC, Chris was the  Director of UN-Habitat in Washington.

WSSCC’s Steering Committee is made up of representatives elected by its Members. It meets twice a year to decide on the policies and strategies of WSSCC, and is accountable to both the Members and the donors for its work.
