Recently, the Mozambican Government developed a National Development Strategy that highlights the need to increase WASH coverage. The first objective of this strategy is to achieve universal water and sanitation coverage by 2035. A National Water and Sanitation Programme for the rural area in Mozambique (PRONASAR) has been agreed upon with the Government.
