Sanitation week in Burkina Faso for dignity, health and life

From 17 to 23 November, the 'My Dignity, My Health, My Life' campaign took place in the context of the International Year of Sanitation (IYS) and the World Toilet Day. During a national sanitation forum hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Hydraulics and Halieutic Resources, presentations were made on the five IYS messages and recommendations issued to the government, civil society and financial partners. The Minister of Environment launched the 'Clean City Day' celebration on 22 November, which encouraged Ouagadougou's citizens to strive for a clean living environment. This campaign also mobilised new actors and networks on HIV/AIDS, women and youth, who will now become partners for future actions in sanitation and hygiene.
