WSSCC – Celebrating 25 years of putting people at the centre

Collaboration
2015 marks not only the year of transition from the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but also the 25th anniversary of WSSCC. The aim of this brochure is to share reflections on what WSSCC means to a cross section of our community. In addition to our members, and many partner organizations, the WSSCC community includes National Coordinators, Global Sanitation Fund programme managers, a democratically elected Steering Committee, and bi-lateral donor partners. Through their testimonials, you will discover what is at the core of WSSCC and feel the spirit of our global movement to improve sanitation and hygiene for everyone.

WSSCC Governance Document

WSSCC General
WSSCC is a membership organization and it relies on its diverse and actively-engaged membership both to direct and to provide credibility for its work. A people-centered approach is the foundation upon which WSSCC is built and this is reflected in its organizational structure at the highest level, the Steering Committee. The WSSCC Governance Document describes the various processes and procedures of WSSCC's Steering Committee and membership, as well as duties of each governance body. This document is formally approved by the WSSCC Steering Committee.

WSSCC Annual Report 2007

WSSCC General
2007 was an exciting year for the Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) as we defined and developed a new long-term strategy and internal structure to make us even more purposeful, viable, secure and results-oriented. WSSCC’s elected Steering Committee refocused the organization’s efforts on sanitation and hygiene, establishing a third core department, the Global Sanitation Fund, to complement the Networking & Knowledge Management and Advocacy & Communications departments. WSSCC established National WASH Coalitions in four more countries – Benin, Mali, Niger and Togo – bringing our active presence to a total of 36 countries. Our staff also met with members of National WASH Coalitions in Benin, Burkina Faso, India, Nepal, Niger, South Africa, Tanzania and Togo. Combined with involvement in the launch of the International Year of Sanitation (IYS) 2008 in New York, the 5th World Water Forum, and the World Water Week in Stockholm and LatinoSan. Our continual presence at global and regional fora ensured a high profile platform for promoting the new sanitation-focused mandate. This is just a taste of our activities.
